The prizes for tonight’s event at the Town Tavern have been finalized, and we’ve got some good stuff for our players.

• For tonight’s Zomboni Champions (team of up to four players):
  • Four (4) Penguins Igloo Club Seats for Tuesday, March 17th vs the Atlanta Thrashers
• For tonight’s Goalie Challenge Champion:
  • One (1) Authentic Penguins Jersey
  • Two (2) Penguins Tickets
• Door Prize (to be drawn randomly from registered participants at midnight):
  • Two (2) Penguins Tickets

Registration and practice rounds will begin at 8pm tonight and the Championship will start at 10pm. Winners will be announced at midnight.

This Friday, the Bud Light Hockey Challenge Championship will benefit a great cause: the Josh Gibson Foundation.

Sometimes called “the Black Babe Ruth” and considered by many to be the greatest Negro League baseball player, Josh Gibson played for the Pittsburgh Crawfords and the Homestead Grays. The Josh Gibson Foundation was established in 1994 with the goal of establishing a history and learning center in Homestead, PA to reach out to the families and youth of the community on which Josh Gibson left his mark. Currently, the Foundation runs and supports education programs within the City of Pittsburgh including academic tutoring and life skills training, motivational programs, and volunteer tutoring programs.

Come on out to the Town Tavern this Friday to have some fun and help a great cause!

Marking the culmination of our 30-bar tour of Pittsburgh, we’ll be holding a Championship event at the Town Tavern on Friday the 13th of March.

The Bud Light Hockey Challenge Championship will take place between 9pm and midnight on the 13th. There will be separate brackets for Zomboni (teams) and Goalie Challenge (individuals), featuring prizes for the champions in each. Proceeds will benefit the Josh Gibson Foundation, so come to the Town Tavern on Friday the 13th and have a good time with CrowdPlay!
